Have you ever gotten a life changing phone call –that left you smiling from ear to ear? I received one on November 2, 2017, when Chuck Mattina offered me a position at Quioxte Group. Accepting this job is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m thrilled to be part of and collaborate with such an incredible team.

In my “former life,” I was a TV news reporter, anchor, photographer, and producer (I learned how to wear a lot of hats!) for more than a decade, most recently, at Time Warner Cable News 14. That path actually led me to this one! Stories with a positive message and a purpose were my favorite to cover, and I connected with some of the Quioxte Group team members while covering stories about Unifi’s REPREVE brand, which has deep ties and roots here in the Triad.

Earlier this year, I left a business I adored to pursue a new passion: public relations. I love being able to use all of the skills I used in television to get our clients great news coverage. I delight in helping them tell all of the captivating stories that make their brands unique, and spread their good news! Admittedly, I also really enjoy being someone reporters can rely on. Having been on the other side of the story pitch, I know what it’s like to have a dependable PR pro you know will help accommodate you with your story in plenty of time to make its deadline. Additionally, I believe in developing meaningful relationships with both reporters and clients alike.

In my spare time, you’ll find me at early morning spin classes, crafting with wine corks (while enjoying a glass of wine!), cheering on the Tar Heels, or whipping up a new recipe in the kitchen! My husband and I also love local theater and travelling. We have a “fuzzy child” named Sal—a very spoiled, chihuahua/Jack Russell mix who was rescued from a salvage yard (hence the name!).

I’m looking forward to being a part of Quioxte Group for years to come!
